mittis.docs API reference Console

#Mittis developer docs

Mittis is a carrier-direct messaging and voice platform. One JSON REST API lets you buy phone numbers, send and receive texts, route and place calls, send email from your own domain, register for 10DLC, and receive signed webhooks for everything that happens.

  • Base URL: https://api.mittis.ai
  • Console: app.mittis.ai for API keys, numbers, registration and billing
  • Format: JSON in, JSON out. Amounts are integer cents. Phone numbers are E.164 (+14155550199).
  • Spec: OpenAPI 3.1, the source of truth for the API reference and the event catalog in these docs.

#What you can build

AreaWhat the API gives you
MessagingSend SMS and MMS, read message history and conversations, receive inbound texts and delivery status webhooks.
Numbers and callingSearch and buy local or toll-free numbers, route inbound calls, voicemail, recordings, browser softphones.
10DLCRegister a brand and campaign, attach numbers, track approval.
EmailVerify a sending domain, send transactional email, follow its lifecycle events and suppressions.
Webhooks and eventsSigned, at-least-once delivery with retries, plus a durable polling feed of the same events.
AgenciesManage sub-accounts with one agency key and the Mittis-Subaccount header.

#Where to start

  1. Quickstart: an API key and your first text in a few minutes.
  2. Test mode: build the whole integration without touching a carrier.
  3. Webhooks: verify signatures and write a receiver that holds up.
  4. API reference: every endpoint, schema and event, with a request runner.

#Conventions

  • Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer <key>. See Authentication.
  • Every error uses one envelope. Branch on error.code. See Errors and pagination.
  • List endpoints return { "data": [...], "hasMore": false, "nextCursor": null }.
  • POST /v1/messages, POST /v1/emails and POST /v1/ports accept an Idempotency-Key header so retries are safe.
